There are a lot of attractions that are drawing people to purchase real estate in the San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara areas, and this spring season is sure to draw more. With a long list of exciting events and attractions, there should be no reason for anyone to go bored as we sail into a beautiful season with great weather.

With that said, we are going to tell you our 5 most anticipated events for San Luis Obispo for this spring, in order of occurrence. If you know of an event that should have made the list, then we encourage you to tell us about it in a comment below the post. Quite honestly, the list was difficult to construct because there are just so many events happening this year!

1.      Cal Poly Wine Festival – March 31, 2012

Did you know San Luis Obispo County is California’s third largest wine-producing county in the state? It’s not news that California’s Central Coast has some of the best wine and vineyards in the country, and the Cal Poly Wine Festival is where you get to try the best of the best. Come pour, sniff, sip, and savor the delicious, premium wines at this wonderful festival.

2.      Taste of Pismo – April 20-22, 2012

This eventcombines the best of music, wine, food, and entertainment into one unforgettable weekend. Featuring wine from 20 wineries, food from 13 restaurants, beer from 3 breweries, and live music and entertainment, Taste of Pismo is a weekend long annual event fit for family, friends, and lovers.

3.      Chili Cookoff  & Car Show – April 21, 2012

Wine Coast Country’s website states, “The Cambria Chamber of Commerce presents a Chili Cookoff and Car Show…” We think they were having fun with alliteration when they came up with that, but we also think you will have fun attending it.

4.      Flavor of SLO (A benefit for United Way) – May 6, 2012

This much anticipated annual event in San Luis Obispo takes place at the beautiful and historic Jack House and Gardens downtown. The event is so appealing because attendees can sample food and wine all while helping a good cause.

5.      Free Summer Concerts – All Summer Long!

We chose these events partly because they start in spring and go all summer long. With Concerts in the Park, Concerts in the Plaza, Saturday in the Park, and Sizzlin’ Summer Concert Series, you can get free live music just anywhere you live on the Central Coast. Check out our county’s website for more information.
